Time to discover the Bodies in the Basement.
I have had a few requests for instructions on the Pooh Bear that I posted on La Rocks so I decided I would write them up.
You will need:
1 Goldenrod 5"
Round
1 Pooh Face Goldenrod Round
1 Goldenrod 260Q
1 Red 260Q
Inflate the 5" Pooh Face to 4" and tie it off, make a 1" ear twist and set the balloon aside.

Inflate the Goldenrod 5" Round to 4" and tie it off, make a 1" ear twist at the knot end and twist it together with the Pooh Face Balloon so you have this.

Inflate the Goldenrod 260Q to about 9" and tie it off, tie a knot in the other end as well. Cut off the nozzle and the end of the balloon close to the knots and split it in half. Twist this between the ear twist for his arms.

Inflate the leftover Goldenrod 260Q to about 9" and tie it off, tie a knot in the other end as well. Cut off the nozzle and the end of the balloon close to the knots and split it in half. Now make a 1" bubble at the bottom of the 5" Goldenrod and use the 260Q to secure it, twist the legs around the tail a lot to keep the tail from untwisting.
Inflate the Red 260Q leaving a 5 to6" tail and tie it in a loop. Divide this in half and in half again. Now roll one bubble around another to secure the 4 bubbles in place (bananna fold). Slide this over his head and push the arms through the sides (kind of like dressing a doll).

Spiderman with Spiderweb
You will need
1 Red 260Q
1 Dark Blue 260Q
1 5" Spiderman Face
1 5" Spiderweb
1 Ruby Red 321 Bee Bodie
Tie a knot (2 or 3 knots) in the 321 where the red and black meet and cut off the black, then stuff it inside the 5" Spiderweb and inflate it to about 5". Tie them together so you have this.

Inflate the Red 260Q leaving a 6" tail and tie it off. Make a 1" bubble followed by a 5" bubble, loop twist the 5" bubble for a hand. Make a 6" bubble, two 1" ear twists and a 6" bubble. Make a 5" bubble and a 1" bubble and make the other hand.

Inflate the 5" Spiderman Face to about 3" and hold it, grasp the knot in the 321 (inside the spiderweb) and tie the Spiderman Face around it. Twist this into the ear twist.

Inflate the Dark blue 260Q leaving a 4" tail and tie off. Make a 1" bubble followed by a 5" bubble, loop twist the 5" bubble for a foot. Make a 6" bubble and tie the knot from the 321 around the twist. Make a 5" bubble and wrap it at the ear twist. Make another 5" bubble and lock it at the bottom where you tied the 321 to the leg. Make two 1" ear twists to hide the knot and to help stabilize the legs. Make another 6" bubble and another foot. (pay no atention to his left foot, I had a leak)
Whats Valentine"s without a Heart? Here is a baby squid using a 6" Betallic Heart as the body.
You will need
1 Betallatex 6"
Heart (it must be a Betallatex because of the point it makes)
1 160 of the same color
1 White 160 or a Scrap of White 160 or a White 5" Round.
Inflate the heart and the tail until just before the lobes are full because you will be twisting both of them. Inflate the White 160 to about 2" and tie it on both ends of the bubble. Split the bubble, tie the ends and ear twist them both. Twist a small bubble on one of the Lobes and twist the eyes around it. Cut the other 160 into thirds and tie them so you can inflate all three fully. Twist them all in the middle and twist around each other. Twist another small bubble in the second lobe and twist the 6 arms around it and shape them. If you are having trouble with this drop a raisin into the heart and use that.

Okay I have to throw in the Holiday creation as well.
Here is a simple Hat Wand Combo that's huge all year around.
You will need:
1 260 any Color
1 5" Flowers Around Clear
1 Betallatex Heart any Color
Start by stuffing the heart into the flowers around balloon and fully inflating both of them making sure to tie the nozzles together so the heart is not floating in the round. Now fully inflate the 260 and tie it to the stuffed round like so. Make three loop twists and you're done.

Another method would be to fully inflate the 260, find the middle and make two loop twists then spiral the balloon. Tie the stuffed round to the spiral like so and you have a quick but impressive wand.

To make the hat you need the same balloons you used for the wand. This time I used a 5" stars around clear to show how you can adapt this to almost every event or situation. Again stuff the heart into the clear and fully inflate both tying them together. Inflate the 260 leaving a 1" tail and tie it to the stuffed round. Now tie the tail to the round as well. Twist the 260 about five inches from the knots and make two loop twists. This will easily fit most heads. For smaller or larger heads adjust your measurements accordingly.

I like to go one step further to make the hat base more of a one size fits all by squeezing the back of the hat in the middle of the loop to give it a kind of feather shape (perhaps you could call it a feather base).

See below for more pics, as you can see this can be done with any balloon for any event.

Come back to the basement next month but watch the stairs on the
way out.
