Spider Balloon Man

This month in the basement you will learn a quick body for your favorite 5" imprint balloon.

Let's start with a Spider Man Body that gives you the Blue stripes on his sides.

You will need

one Red 260

one Dark Blue 260

one 5" Spiderman Face

Start by inflating the Red 260 leaving a five to six inch tail. Make a 1" bubble followed by a 2" to 3" loop twist for a hand. Make a 6" bubble followed by two 1" ear twists for his neck. Make two more 6" bubbles locking them together at the neck like so. Make one more 6" bubble and another hand as you did before.

Inflate the Dark Blue 260 leaving a four inch tail. Make a 1" bubble followed by a 3" loop for a foot. Make a 6" bubble for a leg and wrap it into and around the two red bubbles at the waist. Make a 6" bubble and wrap it at the neck then one more 6" bubble for the side and twist it around the waist. Make another 6" bubble for the other leg and make one more foot as you did before. Inflate the 5" Spiderman face to about 3" and tie it. Squeeze the air towards the face to make it bigger. Tie it to the two ear twists that make the neck.

Alien

If you use two lime green 260s this is a awesome alien body or any other body just use the right color 260s. You can check out the October Basement for another body design.

Octopus Bracelet

1  5" Octopus Face

This is a  bracelet that I really like because it's quick and easy and uses the Qualatex 5" Google Eyes (octopus Faces). Take a 160 and a matching 5" Google Eyes color balloon. Fully inflate the 5" Google Eyes and tie off. Cut the 160 in half and tie a knot at the nozzle. Fully inflate both halves and tie. Twist them together in the middle to form an X. Fold them in half and twist them again so you have something like this.

Tie in the 5" Google Eyes for a cute little octopus that fits over almost every wrist.

 Alien Circling the Planet Hat

Our next hat is an Alien Circling the Planet hat. You will need two black 260s, a 11" or 16" globe, a 5" alien head and a 6" geo blossom. Start by inflating both black 260s leaving a 2" tail. Make a 1" bubble then a 12" bubble in both. Wrap the 1" bubbles around the ends of the 12" bubbles. Make a 10" bubble in each balloon and lock twist them to form an X on a hat. (Stop here if you're making a "Big X" hat).

Now pick one of the arms and make two 3" loop twists. Tie the globe into the loops like so.

Now fully inflate the 5" alien head and tie off. Thread the knot through the middle of the uninflated geo and tie it to the tail of the second black 260. Inflate the geo and tie it off.

 Fireman

You will need two Red 260s, one Red 160, a Yellow 321 and a Blush 5" Man Face. Start by inflating both Red 260s leaving a 3" tail on each balloon. Make a 1" bubble and a 3" loop twist on both balloons. Make a 6" bubble in each balloon then twist them together like so.

Make a 1" bubble and ear twist it in both balloons. Here are two views of the neck.

Make two 5" to 6" bubbles and twist them together for his body

Make a 7 to 8" bubble in each balloon followed by a 3" loop twist which should leave a 1" bubble for the heel.

Inflate and tie the Blush Face then tie it at the two pinch twists. Inflate the Yellow 321 just a little smaller than his body. Tie it to the two pinch twists at the back and wrap the Black tail of the 321 around his waist.

Inflate the Red 160 leaving 2" uninflated and tie it off. Make a loop around the head of the figure and a 1" pinch twist. Twist that loop in half. Make a half loop over the head and twist another 1" eartwist then wrap this around the split that you just made. Wrap the rest of the 160 around the back for the rest of the helmet. Wedge this on top of his head.

Super Hero

You will need two Dark Blue 260s, one Red 160 and a Blush 5" Man Face. I will not give the instructions all over again just follow the instructions for the Fireman minus the 321 and the 160 hat. I do not know where I learned this but have been told that this is a standard body that has been around as long as the Teddy Bear.

Tie the Blush Face to the two pinch twists. Inflate the Red 160 leaving a 2" tail and tie it off. Make a loop around the waist for his belt. Break and tie off the rest of the balloon. Tie the leftover 160 in a loop then tie the loop to the two pinch twists at the back of the super guy for a cape.

To make him a flying Super Guy all you have to do is after you twist the two ear twists for the neck wrap the balloon around the person's head and twist it  at the waist then finish him off like above.

 Just think if you made him in all Dark Blue with a Dark Blue 160 cap he can be a Police Man or Woman. Make him in Yellow with a 160 Yellow hat for a Man with a yellow hat, just add the monkey.

Another quick easy creation is done by making the body as above in Emerald and using a 5" Emerald Smile Face like below. Use any of the 5" Jeweltone Smile Faces I just grabbed a Emerald.

Do the body in Lime Green and add the 5" Frog Face
