Turkey

Thankful for 646s

646 Turkey
6 Mocha Brown 646s
1 Orange 660
1 Marigold 360
1 Orange 350s
1 White 350
2 Mocha 250s
1 Red 428

Inflate four of the Mocha 646s leaving a 4" tail then squeeze them so you have a 1" tail. Tie them all together to make a four bubble cluster.

Inflate another Mocha 646 leaving a 3" tail and tie it off. Inflate the White 350 to about 10" and tie it to the knot on the last 646 you just inflated. Make a 5" bubble in both and lock twist them together. Make another 5" bubble in the white and tie it back to the top at the knot. Cut off any leftover.

Inflate the Marigold 360 leaving a 3" tail and tie it off. Make two  4" loop twists for cheeks, a 7" bubble and a 5" bubble, then lock twist the 5 and 7" bubbles for a beak . Twist the cheek bubbles around the bubble in the 646.

Make a 10" bubble and lock the 646 into the four bubble cluster. Make a 2" bubble and ear twist it. Pop and tie off any remaining balloon, and if it's done just right you wont have to cut the balloon.

Fully inflate the last Mocha 646 and tie it into the four bubble cluster, and this will be the very top of the turkey. Make a bubble at the end and twist it around the back of the body, so this will be the tail base.

The rest of the tail is up to you. Inflate both Mocha 350s leaving a 2" tail, tie them together and fold twist them so you have a figure eight. Fully inflate the Orange 660 and burp it well. Split it into two and wrap it around the wings, then make a 2" bubble on each side of the orange .

Insert the wings between the Mocha 646 Bubbles on each side so you have three bubbles on top and one bubble under each wing leaving the legs in the middle.

Inflate the Orange 350 leaving a 2" tail and tie it into a loop, make a figure eight and wrap it around the two bubbles on the Orange 660.

Inflate the tip of a red 428 to a 2" bubble and tie it to the beak.

Here's a photo of the rough draft of the turkey to give you an idea of what the tail can look like.

646 Bee

646 Bee
1 Citrine 646 (I used Mandarin because it shows up better for photos)
3 Black 260s
2 Jewel Lime 5" Rounds
1 Clear 260
1 Black 160

This has become one of my most requested balloon figures. Inflate the Citrine 646 leaving a 6" tail and tie it off. Make a 3" bubble and ear twist it.

Inflate both Jewel Lime (yes I love this color) to 3" and tie them together.

Wrap them around the 3" ear twist for his eyes and nose.

Inflate the Black 160 to about 12" and tie it off on both ends, cut off the rest and the knot. Twist it in half and twist around the eyes and nose for his antennas.

Inflate one of the Black 260s leaving a 3" tail. Make an 8" bubble, a 1" ear twist, another 8" bubble, two 1" ear twists, an 8" bubble, a 1" ear twist and one more 8" bubble. Make a 5 to 6" bubble in the 646 and wrap the Black 260 around it. Twist the middle 1" ear twists around each other to make a set of legs.

Repeat this but without the ear twist on the top.

Take a scrap of Black 260 and make a stinger by inflating it to 4" and tying it off. Make two 1" ear twists and twist it to the tail of the 646.

The wings are just a fully inflated Clear 260 tied in a loop and twisted in half then you wrap it around the ear twist on top of the bee.

Yes you can use 6" hearts for wings and it is just as cute, maybe even cuter, ask the kids.

NOTE: If you use a 660 you will have to cut the tail to add the stinger or it will be too long.

Snowman

Snowman
1 5" Snowman Face
1 Black 6" Link-O-Loon or a Black 350
1 White 6" Link-O-Loon
1 Black 260
1 Red 160
1 Mocha 160
1 scrap of balloon

Make a raisin out of a scrap of balloon, or a bead, and drop it into the 5" Snowman Face. Inflate the Snowman Face to about 4" and tie it off high on the neck. Make a 1" ear twist using the knot to hold it in place. Inflate the Black Link-O-Loon to about 3" and tie it off. Make an apple twist and use the stinger of the Link-O-Loon to tie the knot in place. Grab the raisin in the 5" Snowman face at the top of the snowman's head and tie the stinger around it as well.

Inflate the Black 260 to about 8" and tie it off. Make two small ear twist and wrap it around the snowman's head as the brim of the hat. Tie it at the ear twist and discard any leftover.

Puff the 160 and tie it to the ear twist at the back of the hat. Lay it into the notch where the 260 meets the Link-O-Loon so you have this. Again tie it back at the ear twist and discard.

Inflate the White 6" Link-O-Loon to 5" and tie it high on the neck. Make a 1" ear twist and twist it around the ear twist on the 5" snowman face. This makes a nice snowman just like this and you can use the stinger on the White 6" Link-O-Loon to add it to a bracelet but I like to add arms. Inflate the Mocha 160 halfway and tie it off. Make a 3" bubble, two 3" loop twists and a 4" bubble. Now make a 4" bubble, two 3" loop twists and a 3" bubble. Tie it off and discard the rest. Wrap the middle of the arms between the two ear twists (neck).

Come back to the basement next month but watch the stairs on the way out.
