Gilbert Adams Keep on Twistin'

Gilbert Adams is a fun guy who likes having fun. He puts that to good use on his DVD Keep on Twistin'. On this DVD he teaches a lot of balloons that you can use for line and restaurant work. Each of his sculptures are fairly quick yet impressive, and mainly use 260s, a few 160s, and some hearts plus a 5" round. I especially liked the Baseball Hat which is based on the Fishing Pole Hat but it's much more fun and the kids love it! He also shows the quickest Famous Donkey I have ever seen! The Famous Duck and the Bird-Chasing Cat hats are easy, quick, and easily recognized. These and many others make this DVD quite worth the price!

Aside from the sculptures there were also many great things to note. For one, even though there was a colorful background and stage, Gilbert was up close to the camera which gave the whole setting a more personal feeling as though he's talking directly to you. There's even a section with trivia which is a great way to interact with an audience. Before each sculpture segment a picture of the finalized sculpture is shown so that the viewer knows what they're working toward before beginning. There were also tons of special features and added content, such as the coffee talk with the producers to give you some background on the DVD. Gilbert also did two bonus sculptures (rings) that are great for restaurant work. On the second DVD he teaches a really neat Scuba Mask that uses water and a 160 fish, and then he brings in some twisting friends to show their stuff. Greg Schuerman shows how to make his UFO and Ken Ernsberger teaches a quick ninja turtle.

Over all I enjoy this DVD every time I watch it and I think it's a great buy for any entertainer looking for something new to add to their shows.
